Association of Radio Media Employers

Polish Radio, together with its regional radio stations, has formed MOC RADIO – The Association of Radio Broadcasting Employers, i.e., Media Owners Committee of radio stations as an answer of radio broadcasters to the need of uniting the whole media and advertising market around media content usage research.

MOC RADIO is the next step, after MOC TV and the Coalition of Marketers, to unite the entire media and advertising market to create new research based on modern, integrated means of measuring listenership, viewership and content consumption on the Internet.

In December 2020, TV broadcasters, marketers and media agencies signed a letter of intent to create a Polish Joint Industry Committee to address single-source media research. In response, in March 2021, an organization called MOC Radio was established – the Association of Radio Broadcasting Employers was created by the initiative of Radio Poland and the Regional Broadcasters of Radio Poland (united as Auditorium 17 for the advertising market).

The association was registered in August 2021, which constitutes another stage of work on the agreement of the media and advertising market to create a new quality of media research based on modern and integrated methods of measuring listenership, audience and content consumption. In cooperation with the already established organizations MOC TV, PBI and representatives of advertisers and media agencies gathered in the SKM SAR Media Houses Club and the Marketers for Better Research Coalition as well as the later established MOC FM will strive to achieve their goals on the basis of the agreement called The Gold Standard.

The key area of MOC Radio’s activity and the main goal of the Association is to represent the interests of the radio part of the market in the work on a new, single research of the media (radio, television, Internet) accepted by all participants of the media market and to promote audio content, and in particular radio as a form of social communication.

The initiators emphasize that the project is open to any radio broadcaster, regardless of the form of ownership or the nature of the program, joining on equal statutory rights.
The work of MOC Radio is ran by one member Board of Directors, which is seated by Dr. Artur Kubaj, formerly CEO of Radio Szczecin. Paweł Kwieciński from Radio Poland became the Chairman of the Supervisory Board while Mariusz Deckert from Polskie Radio Lublin and Mariusz Bartkowicz from Polskie Radio Kraków became members.

The association has an open and transparent formula and the main objective is to support modern, transparent and reliable research, the results of which will become a common currency for the entire market, and not only securing the interests of its selected segment.
MOC RADIO has an open formula and its members may be all radio broadcasters holding a license for analogue and digital terrestrial broadcasting.
